I was talking to the Head of CSR of a Large Organization, who asked me a question that set me thinking “𝘞𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘢 𝘯𝘶𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘢𝘳𝘦 30 𝘱𝘭𝘶𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘴𝘳𝘰𝘢𝘥𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘢𝘮𝘣𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘶𝘳𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘦. After four decades of working with NGO’s involved with diverse causes, that have individuals who volunteer with them across all age groups, I’ve observed something fascinating about the power of young people.

When I meet participants who are in their 30’s in our programs, I see people who are:

• Establishing their professional identity while questioning its deeper meaning

• Building families while remembering their dreams to change the world

• Achieving financial stability while feeling spiritually restless

• Gaining expertise while feeling overwhelmed by global problems

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻—𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀. They’re ready to move from “I Can” achiev my personal success to a mindset of “We Can” create a collective impact.

𝟭. 𝗜𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗔𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 They don’t just want to help; they want their helping to reflect who they are becoming. A marketing professional doesn’t just want to serve food—they want to create campaigns that end hunger.

𝟮. 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 Time is their most precious resource. They’re asking, “If I give you my Saturday morning, can you show me exactly whose life will change because of it?”

𝟯. 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲 They’re drawn to causes where they can build relationships with like-minded individuals. It’s not just about the cause—it’s about finding their tribe.

The “𝗕𝗼𝗿𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗪𝗶𝗻 – 𝗜 𝗔𝗺 𝗮 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿” program teaches us that every individual is born with an innate desire to contribute. The challenge isn’t creating motivation—it’s removing barriers and providing clear pathways.

The “𝗕𝗼𝗿𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗪𝗶𝗻 – 𝗜 𝗔𝗺 𝗮 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿” program has helped over 2,00,000 students studying in government and aided schools. If you would like to make this impactful program a part of your CSR activities, Schedule a call with me: I LOOK FORWARD TO TALK TO YOU. CLICK THIS LINK
